Lawrence E. Wilson

Founding Partner and Managing Director

Larry Wilson’s innovative leadership-driven business management effectiveness was born at Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and nourished at Philip Morris, Inc. where he managed three of the largest consumer brands in the world and their highly successful product propositions – Benson & Hedges, Parliament and Virginia Slims cigarettes.  His global business acumen combined with a unique writing and public speaking talent to position him as an innovative strategic planning and forecasting consultant to Procter and Gamble, the Miller Brewing Company and the United States Agency for International Development.

His MBA enhanced his entrepreneurial and quantitative insight, which General Motors capitalized on in training and investing in him as one of their automobile franchise owners. As a GM dealer, Larry created a highly effective institutional marketing platform which he later carried to the non-profit sector. There, he raised millions of dollars to advance academic and cultural organizations alike, including his Native American tribe, the Eastern Pequot Indians of Connecticut.

As Executive Director of Economic and Leadership Development at Rhode Island College in Providence, Larry authored the celebrated capstone leadership curriculum there. Today, as founder of his Providence, RI-based multidisciplinary business development firm – The Wilson Organization, LLC – he is Managing Director and principal coach to leadership and management professionals in an array of Rhode Island corporations and organizations.
